Heart Game Writeup
Well, I say "writeup" but it's basically just me C&Ping my notes and commenting on changes made. The game was here.
ENTRANCE:
- Outer layer of protection: ice represents multiple things ("cold" affect, associated w/ the Masked Man, etc)
- Blue hidden by gym statue (also counts as protection, but actively works with players to benefit Silver)
- She might take your items!! She can also give hints.
- Ice sliding puzzle: up, right, down, left, up, left, down, right
- BGM: HGSS Ice Path
NOTES ON BLUE:
- Works a little like a genie for this! You can call her to ask her something.
- She can godmode most things in Silver’s heart.
- Has a Blastoise, Jigglypuff, and Ditto on hand.
- Will usually give hints / cheat codes instead of doing the work for you.
- Cannot be summoned during the Mask of Ice fight.
- If you gave her an item, you’ll have it back by the end of the game.
- ... You can still call her if you don’t give her an item... she just likes tricking people out of stuff...
CHANGES:
- By entering into a deal with Blue, players had the potential to affect Silver's willingness to accept help. Because a number of people did accept her offer for help, he is going to be more willing. But at the same time, people didn't actually... use her marbles... so it's not as big of an increase as it could have been.
CROSSROADS:
- Three paths: right (Cellblock) and left (Pokémon Room) are unlocked, center is locked (leads to True Heart)
- Mosaic of Ho-Oh, Lugia, and the Legendary Beasts on the floor.
- Can also encounter Blue here in front of the door if players are terribly stuck.
- BGM: HGSS Sinjoh Ruins (which I forgot to link in the post)
CHANGES:
- Mithos cleared off the debris covering the floor, making the separate passageways more contiguous. Silver can't partition things so easy anymore.
POKÉMON ROOM:
- Represents Silver's general consciousness.
- Tall grass on the way to this room... :B
- Set up like a gym, but there are other things as well: bookcases, notes, pokédex, pokéballs. All are thoughts or mementos of some sort.
- Both the Sun and the Star are here.
- BGM: HGSS New Bark Town (which I forgot to put in the post)
CHANGES:
- Vanille tidied up the books having to do with social interaction, and Mithos put a picture of the Johto Trio between the pages of one of them. This should help him be a little less nervous about dealing with people. Though, uh, if he takes his interactions with Gold and Crys as a model, he might be more likely to argue and scuffle with people too... :B
AATHER ROOM:
- Set up like a smaller version of Silver’s room in Onyx, except that it’s completely bare save for a large treasure chest sitting in the middle of the room.
- Inside the chest are all sorts of mementos from Aather.
CHANGES:
- By opening the chest and decorating the room, Dino has ensured that Silver isn't as able to partition off Aather from the rest of his thoughts and experiences as he once was.
THE CELLBLOCK:
- Three cells: must be opened in order (Guilt, Vengeance, Fear)
- The text on the cells is Unown font with the "eye" filled in and flipped 180 degrees :B
- Silver dolls (self-)confined in various ways.
- Blue can be brought here, but she cannot appear here on her own.
- Contains a Mask of Ice encounter.
- Success in this room gives you the Moon.
- BGM: Lavender Town (Music Box Version)
CHANGES:
- Untying "Guilt" means Silver is less likely to beat himself up over his past.
- Untying "Vengeance" means Silver is less able to keep his... idk how to put it... yan tendencies in check. He's more likely to shank someone if he feels like he needs to.
- Putting the dolls together... um... did something. If he does shank someone, he probably won't feel as guilty about it as he might... or his guilt might keep him from shanking someone... I GUESS WE'LL SEE.
NOTES ON MASK OF ICE ENCOUNTER:
- He will be less powerful if:
1) the Sun or the Star are held by one of the explorers (the Sun especially)
2) Blue is with the party or has given them some form of assistance
- He will be more powerful if:
1) "Guilt" remains restrained
2) "Vengeance" has been unchained
- Pokémon he has on hand (they will appear as though they are made of ice):
1) Delibird: Headbutt, Icy Wind, Present, Blizzard, Fly
2) Houndour: Bite, Flamethrower, Headbutt, Iron Tail, Faint Attack, Howl
3) Swinub: Blizzard, Powder Snow
- BGM: "The Darkest Hour"
CHANGES:
- The "Guilt" and "Vengeance" effects cancelled each other out. Neither Sasuke or Hermana had marbles from Blue, which would have weakened him further. However, Hermana kind of like a smaller, purpler Gold in her ability to punch Silver's issues in the face, so her presence served as a weakening force instead. Plus, fire is super effective against ice, so \:D/
- Mask of Ice is not gone from Silver's heart. He probably never will be. But for now he's fairly dormant.
TRUE HEART:
- Best way to do this is with all three emblems: Sun (Gold), Moon (Silver), Star (Crystal). Blue can provide assistance with alternate means, but the full heart will not be accessible
- Based on Silver's confession (in FRLG) of his fantasy family/home. It's a daydream, not somewhere that actually exists, which is why it's all blurry.

Next time she is in your heart she is carefully writing "FLAME LIKES HUGS" on a piece of paper and leaving it in there instead god
