FROM: Goldie's mistletoe game.

I WANTED PADDING SKILLS, OKAY. But now he can read Unown and knows more about things like the Origin Trio and Arceus. Obviously he's far, far below Cynthia levels, but as a Pokédex Holder and someone who's, you know, actually encountered a bunch of legendary Pokémon in his life and does his research, I tend to assume he knows more than the average trainer.

Silver has lived on his own (or with Blue) since he was like five years old! A lot of that time was spent in the tall grass great outdoors, since, you know, Pokémon universe. This skill covers all the assorted things he would have learned about surviving in the wilderness: everything from the boy scout-y (how to make a fire, how to make shelters, what not to eat) to the not so boy scout-y (hun...ting..., how to sneak into other people's tents and make off with the maximum amount of supplies, etc). SILVER IS A RESOURCEFUL GUY. He has literally built up a system of hideouts stashed all over Johto/Kanto.

In other words, useful stuff for Camelot!

On a boat with Crys. [HGSS, 448]

FROM: Scheherazade's one word story game.
FORM: a little book with five empty pages
SHAREABLE: 4/5

After they meet up at the Safari Zone, Crys and Silver get on a boat. Crys immediately takes charge, calling Earl at the Academy, Professor Oak, and her mom to update them on the situation. She offers Silver a new Pokégear, which he tries to refuse because Crys has no reason to get dragged into this mess. She retorts that there's no way she can just leave him, and Silver inadvertently proves her point by accidentally revealing that he's been hiding the fact that his arm was injured in the battle with Petrel. She heals him with Parasect, which embarrasses him -- but she holds up her Pokédex and says, "Don't worry about it. We're comrades, right?"

She explains that her plan is to head to Ecruteak, since she thinks Morty will be able to help them figure out what Team Rocket is up to. She says she's left the Academy students with Eusine, and that while it's her policy to never leave a job she's taken on incomplete, she has to pursue Team Rocket... for the sake of those children, whose safety Team Rocket would endanger. She can't just stand on the sidelines when something like this is going on. She corrects herself and says it's not just Team Rocket: if she can, she wants to protect the future for those children and their hopes.

Silver stares at her, clearly impressed, and smiles a little. She gets flustered and thinks he's staring at the outfit her mom has made her wear, and starts hurriedly disclaimering it (and wails that no matter what, Gold can't be allowed to see her like this).

What he learned:
- Crys is amazing ///
- Be less of an idiot about accepting help, self. Though in Aather he's already a lot better about this than in canon.

This memory covers the final parts of the battle against Archie and the giant Jirachi-created Kyogre, as well as the aftermath.

Note: It also includes the actual Battle Frontier tournament once the crisis is over and everyone's rested a little, which isn't shown on screen. So if anyone (cough Paul cough) wants to see that as well, they can. (There's no canon as to how the battles go other than Crys losing to Blue, but I would hazard a guess that Silver loses to Yellow.)

VS Petrel: Koffings attack and turning the tables. [HERE]

From: Three's freeform symbolism loser game
Form: onyx-colored drop-spindle
Shareable: 9/10

What he learned:
- It's a recent memory?? OH MY GOD.
- Sneasel is Weavile in this memory.
- Team Rocket is on the move again. They're after something called "plates." Petrel has three, and Silver's already taken one from him.
- lololol fooling this guy is too easy

Meeting Crys and watching Gold POKÉHANGLIDER Lugia. [HERE]

From: Kiriko's bird-box game.

What he learned:
⇢ I see we made a great first impression on Crys.
⇢ This is immediately getting filed under "HOW DOES GOLD EVEN EXIST, OH MY GOD"

Learning his father's identity; waking up in Team rocket's airship with Giovanni. [HERE]

From: Maleficent's description game.
Form: a tiny onyx dessert cake.
Shareable: no

This covers: 1) encountering Sird and Orm; 2) the tag battle with Yellow; 3) holy Darth Vader revelations, Batman!, 4) waking up and having a breakdown on Sneasel; 5) attempting to drag Giovanni out of the crashing airship and ultimately losing consciousness again.

What he learned:
OH NO IT'S THE BOMBSHELL. In canon, this pretty much represents the destruction of Silver's tentatively rekindled hopes regarding finding his biological family. He's always loathed Team Rocket due to Pryce's plans regarding the organization as well as their general operating methods, and… his dad's the one who created it \:D/ Blue has perfectly normal loving people as her biological parents, and he has Giovanni. WELP. On the one hand, Aather's really just enforced his inclination towards self-made families, but on the other hand… this is still going to be a hell of a blow, and he's actually probably going to judge himself a lot for the fact that it is a blow, considering he's close with people like Viola who don't have parents at all. Oops.

SKILL: "Exchanger"-specific knowledge and skills

From: Jabberwock's points game.
Form: a slightly-too-rare bite of meat of unknown origin.

Silver now has an encyclopedic knowledge of Pokémon trading, especially trade-based evolutions and the scientific theories behind the phenomenon. Every Pokédex holder in the manga has a certain area they excel in: trading is Silver's. It's closely related to Blue's evolutionary specialization, since they were trained together.

Getting badtouched by Sird while Banette'd. [HERE]

From: The Green Knight and Narcissus's loser game.
Form: bite-sized fruit tarts
Shareable: no.

What he learned:
⇢ ...
⇢ Actually, no, he's going to take this and immediately pass out, then wake up super confused. He was mostly unconscious/having his mind manipulated by a Pokémon at the time.
⇢ It'll just leave him with a vague sense of UNEASE and BADTOUCH.
exchanged: (頂点目指し 勝負仕掛け)
SKILL: how does I Pokémon (advanced)

Gained from Snow's skill share game.

⇢ Covers Pokémon from Sinnoh and Hoenn in detail, more complicated battle strategies, better knowledge of advanced evolution techniques, etc. Basically Silver now has all the trainer knowledge he'd have in canon back, save for his "special" skills (read: encyclopedic knowledge of trading and trade-based evolution).
